For the past ten years, the Purchasing community has been following a unique event that brings together all the actors in the Purchasing function and their partners in the same place. These are the Decision Achats Trophies, an event initiated and organized by the magazine Décision Achats and the National Purchasing Council. The event rewards the best initiatives in terms of purchasing policy. The 9E edition of this competition took place on February 23, 2017 at the Eurosites Georges V in Paris. Roche Diabetes Care France, thanks to its project co-developed with BME via its Sourcing Force solution, was among the winners of this edition of the Procurement Decision Trophies.
The Decision Purchasing Trophies is a competition organized every year by the Editialis group in partnership with the National Purchasing Council. Its objective is to highlight the best achievements and the most emblematic players in the Purchasing function, while promoting meetings and exchanges between purchasing professionals.
More than 500 purchasing professionals travel each year to attend this award ceremony. The ninth edition took place on Thursday, February 23, 2017 in the heart of Paris, at Eurosites Georges V.
Each year, the Procurement Decision Trophies competition brings together the entire procurement ecosystem in order to elect the best alternatives in terms of innovation and results around the procurement function. During this convivial evening, six trophies are awarded to the winners:
The 9th edition of the Procurement Decision Trophies brought together more than 400 players in the procurement function. It has rewarded several companies, organizations and procurement managers recognized for their exemplary purchasing policies or innovative initiatives.
Ten candidates competed for the Procurement Decision Maker Trophy, including two women and seven men. All of them have had a career or achievements worth celebrating. The prize was finally awarded to Karine Alquier-Caro, Purchasing Director at the Legrand Group, after a vote and decision by readers and members of the grand jury.
The Silver Trophy, for its part, was awarded to Laurence Laroche, CPO of the Rockwool International group. Finally, the Bronze Trophy was awarded to Franck Barrailler, purchasing manager at INPI.
The first prize in the Innovation category was won by the Naos group (Esthederm, Bioderma), which used an IT solution to manage indirect purchases. The second prize went to Damart DSB and the third prize to Sagemcom.
In the Solutions category, the Air France group won the gold prize for its co-development project with Silex. Having reached maturity, the group's purchasing department wants to capture innovation by relying on innovative tools in terms of supplier sourcing. This is where the start-up Silex comes in. The latter has developed a platform that connects businesses and service providers in real time.
The silver award in the Solutions category was awarded to Roche Diabetes Care France, a specialist in self-monitoring of blood glucose levels. This trophy was awarded to him thanks to the establishment of an e-purchasing platform, co-developed with BME “Sourcing Force”.
Stéphane Chavatte, Non-Production Purchasing Manager at Roche Diabetes Care France, explains that “the purpose of implementing an e-procurement solution is to centralize the information necessary for our proper functioning.
This centralization was necessary from a procurement and internal customer/service provider point of view in order to streamline communication on this triptych, saving time and securing information for the various parties, since they are located in one place and easily accessible to everyone in real time.”.
Laura Berlandis, Buyer, adds: “The tool was co-developed with the Lyon-based startup BME through real collaboration. The solution is used on a daily basis.”.
The third prize, for its part, was awarded to Société Générale.
In the CSR category, the Michelin group won the Gold Trophy. The second prize was awarded to Aéroports de Paris. For their part, Airbus and the Hauts-de-Seine departments were awarded the Bronze Trophy.
This award is new for the 9E edition of the Purchasing Decision Trophies. Three applications were nominated. The one selected by the jury is Olivier Deprez's thesis entitled “What role for the procurement function in enterprise 3.0 in the era of crowdsourcing”.
The grand jury, which met at the end of January to defend the files in the 4 categories (Innovation, CSR, Solutions and Master 2 purchases thesis) was composed of personalities such as Jean-Christophe Alvergne (Vivarte); Franck Douau (LVMH); Franck Douau (LVMH); Jean-Christophe Gac (Manutan); Jean-Christophe Gac (Manutan); Alhem Hamdi (Radio France); Alhem Hamdi (Radio France); Karen Heys (Geodis); Michel Maurin (Orange); Fabienne Lampel (Orange); Fabienne Lampel (Orange); Foncia); Fabienne Lecuyer (Club Med); Pierre Pelouzet (Business Mediator - Ministry of Economy and Finance); Ilde Puglisi (Coface); Arnaud de Varine-Bohan (Swiss Life); Marc Sauvage (Ile-de-France Regional Council — Cdaf).
Three main benefits in summary:
1. Time saver
2. Ease of use
3. Increase in collaborator expertise.
And above all: the possibility of concretely managing a coherent purchasing strategy thanks to a dedicated collaborative supplier space: Sourcing-Force.com!
BME is pleased with this participation, which rewards the best e-procurement initiatives of the year, alongside prestigious nominees such as Air France (1st prize) or Société Générale (3rd prize) and thanks the Roche Laboratories with which a close collaboration has been established.
